Working Woman!

After we got back from Florida I just new I needed to get a part time job. I needed to be around other adults, get out of the house to do something other than shop ya know. So I started looking around and found NOTHING that seemed like fun. I had been warned about finding jobs on Craig'slist because a lot of the time they are scams or crazy door to door sales jobs. Well I still looked and I'm very glad I did. I came across an opening for a salon in Allendale which is about 10 minutes from my house. It was for a part time receptionist. Well some of you may not know this but I actually went to Cosmetology school many many years ago but dropped out because I realized that even though I Enjoy the salon atmosphere I do not like to "Do" peoples hair. I also was a receptionist in a hair salon all throughout high school.

Anyways I did some "cyber snooping" to check out the salon before going to the interview. I was super picky about who I would be working for and with. I knew I wasn't going to be paid much so it had to be all about the people and the fun factor. I found the salons website and they had pictures. The salon looked very cute and trendy and all the girls looked stylish with great hair. So I had a good feeling going into the interview that it was going to be a great place to work.

I stated just over a month ago and I LOVE IT!!! I have already formed some great new friendships. They are AWESOME girls to work with!!! The clients are great and I get to go spend a couple of days a week in a totally "Girlie" environment. I really enjoy interacting with all the clients and checking out their new hairstyles.

I even got my hair done there this week. I went to Erin who did a FABULOUS job on my hair cut and highlights. If you know me you know I'm very picky about who I go to. I'm not that picky about my actual hair cut but I am about the color and Erin NAILED IT!!!

I was going to Panopoulos in Standale and paying a small fortune every time I went in. So just the discount I receive on my hair is enough to keep me working:) Ha!

So here is where I put in my plug!!! If you are looking to get your hair done by a FABULOUS new stylist Please consider trying out
